Most businesses start out small and grow with hard work and dedication. The most basic steps you should follow to start a business in Canada are investigating and sizing the market you will operate in, building a formal business structure, selecting an accounting method and setting your budgets. Starting a business in Canada may seem overwhelming at first; however in the past decade online resources have made information easier to obtain, and therefore the process is much easier to comprehend. Although there are several tips and opinions readily available, for someone who wants to start a business today, the most obvious and required steps are the following:

1) Formulate a Good Business Idea

Whether your business will be based in Canada or in another country, you will first need a good business idea. If you already have an idea established you may proceed to step two. If not, search online to find collections of small and home-based business ideas. You will be amazed at the plethora of options available: you can even learn how to come up with winning business ideas of your own!

2) Create a Business Plan

Within your business plan, you should include an overview of the industry sector that your business will be a part of.  Include industry trends, major competition, and estimated industry sales. Analyze the primary target market, and include demographics, location, and the needs of your target market. Within your business plan you should also include a detailed explanation of your sales strategy, pricing plan, and proposed advertising and promotion activities. Finally, a description of your business’ physical location, facilities, equipment, employees needed, and any other applicable operating details, such as financing should be thoroughly laid out.

3) Choose Your Form of Business Ownership

Sole proprietorship, partnership and corporations are the main categories of business ownership in Canada. Research your options, and decide which is ideal for your business before registering.

4) Choose a Marketing Structure

Create a business name, logo, colours in which you will market with, slogan, and any other important marketing elements. Once this has been established, you must register your business name with the provincial business registry. When choosing a business name, consider the business name’s marketing potential and legal elements.

5) Inquire About Financing

Decide whether you will be financing your new business on your own, or if you will need funds from an outside source. Grants, loans and investors are some options you may want to consider if you are in need of extra money to start your business in Canada.

When learning how to start a business in Canada, keep in mind that all businesses have risks; however they all should have plans as well. By documenting and collecting information about your business, strategies, competition, target market, etc., you will decrease the risks, and increase your ability to make wise decisions. Keep in mind that the businesses plan is simply the starting point; the launched and evolving business is the goal.

How to Network Market

network-marketing-opportunities

It is very easy to become an independent distributor for any Multi-Level Marketing company; however the challenge is recruiting a sizable organization to generate income. Because more people are learning how to network market, this niche business is becoming more and more competitive. Mental and emotional preparation is essential to obtain success in this business, in order to overcome all disappointment and rejections associated with prospecting and sponsoring.

Exploring different prospecting and lead generation methods is a key concept in learning how to network market. By exploring the following three methods and executing them properly, network marketers will be able to add new representatives to ones business…guaranteed!

#1 Unique Branding

Since there are many MLM companies and competition is increasing, having a unique product or service will make a business stand out. A successful MLM representative must know how to brand oneself as a leader in order to crush the competition. Learn how to brand YOU as the leader and then focus on building that brand. Make sure customers can relate to that brand, and know who the target market is. Once a unique and properly targeted brand has been established, prospects will look for you and your product or service. Most MLM companies will train their distributors to recruit family, friends and associates and what happens because of the un-educated distributors is that they have not learned how to communicate properly yet, burning that bridge possibly forever.

#2 The New Network Marketer Concept

Once a new distributor chooses the company he/she believes in than the next step is to learn about the products or service.  Once there is a general understanding of the products or service, the next step is to LEARN HOW TO COMMUNICATE!

Distributors right out of the gate get so excited about their product or service they seem to be overly excited and usually that scares their prospect off.  Understand that communication is the key to success, and once you understand that you will then and only then have the ability to recruit with success.

The new network marketer concept is seemingly contrary to what most traditional network marketing reps know. The network marketing newbie learns all the skill from his up line mentors and his mentors learn it from their mentors, however they practice new ways to bring in leads on the Internet.

#3 Learn How to Network Market through Basic Techniques

Network Marketing is a step-by-step system which teaches network marketing representatives how to generate revenue using a variety of methods. All of these methods are based on traditional marketing techniques, and having a strong understanding of target audiences, emotional purchases and similar tools are essential. Knowing how to build powerful lead capturing pages, write persuasive emails and produce quality products and/or services are tools which can easily be obtained once a basic knowledge of traditional marketing has been established.

Bug Your Family & Friends Or Not, That Is The Question

Here is my theory, if you start a business do you bug your family and friends so they can buy your product or service?  NO! You simply let them know what you are doing and if they draw interest than you can give them more details about the business that you are starting.  When you start a business what do you typically do?:

  • Start with an idea and a vision
  • Create a business plan and have a system that works
  • Promote your product or service

In traditional business you generally have to barrow money or use a big part of your savings to get started.  This money will be used for rent, employees, utilities, equipment, furniture, marketing and a slue of other things that you never knew about into you are deep into it.  If you survive the first year at a break even or just a small loss you just might try it for another year.  Most companies either start making money their second year or shut it down after they lost everything they had and are deep into debt.   If you are one of the few that start making money it usually is not enough to feed the family and you are trading time for dollars at this point.

Now take Network Marketing, same concept of marketing a product or service but you are not the one with all the risk.  All you have to do is follow the system that has already been created by the experts in the company, have passion in your product or service that they provide and you are on your way to financial freedom.  Here is what you do to start a Network Marketing business:

  • Research the stable legitimate companies
  • Sign up with the one you believe in
  • Believe in the product or service
  • Promote your product or service

In Network Marketing it cost less than $500.00 to get started and if you treat it like a business it will give all the time and money you desire.  It’s a business you can work anytime, anyplace, anywhere even if it’s part time while you are still working your day job or business.  There is no overhead other than your marketing cost and the employees are not needed, just some good recruits that are willing to learn and follow a system.  Like traditional businesses it takes time to develop a customer base but the up side to Network Marketing is there is little risk.  If you want to be successful in Network Marketing, here is what I recommend:

  • Learn about the industry (Read books and listen to audio Cd’s)
  • Learn how to communicate (Professional Inviter)
  • Build a list of prospects and never stop
  • Market your product or service
  • Duplicate what you learned to others

Bottom line if  you treat Network Marketing like a business, it will truly set you free to live your dreams and spend the quality life you always wanted.  It’s the vehicle of Multi Level Marketing which by the way is the same as Network Marketing that allows you to duplicate your efforts with other people, creating your more money every day, every week, every month and every year.

This is a simple business but not an easy one and the number one challenge you will have is weather you can handle rejection or not.  This is a numbers game and if you learn how to communicate correctly your odds will allow you to recruit better, keeping you in long enough to succeed in the Network Marketing industry.  Are You Willing To Pay The Price

There is a system I follow and it has been proven time and time again but it takes determination, desire and the burning passion to succeed.  “You have a choice in life but don’t let the little things keep you from big opportunities”
